Mia Klinger
Trained as a special educator and reading specialist, Mia is the co-founder and director of Daybreak, a program serving children with social, emotional, and behavioral needs resulting from trauma or disability. Daybreak runs a 5-week summer program and new 8-week Saturday programming called Club Daybreak during the school year. Mia's skills include starting the box stitch with gimp, making duct tape wallets, and fostering a strong camp community that is entering its 30th year.Mia is also a Certified Practitioner in Collaborative Problem Solving. During the school year, she currently splits her time between grant writing and program development for Daybreak and Cambridge Camping Association and providing consultation to public schools and OST programs around issues of inclusion, trauma sensitive care and meeting the needs of children with social, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.
